Pascal DESBARATS

Pascal DESBARATS

Biography

Pascal Desbarats obtained his PhD thesis in 2001 on the structuring of segmented 3D images. After a post-doctorate in medical imaging, he was recruited in 2002 at the University of Bordeaux as Associate Professor in the Image and Sound team of the LaBRI (Bordeaux Computer Laboratory – UMR5800), then as Professor in 2011. He has supervised or co-supervised 15 PhD thesis and 16 Master’s thesis. Until December 2020, he was Deputy Director of the Doctoral School of Mathematics and Computer Science and is currently the Deputy Director of the LaBRI. He is specialized in image analysis and computer vision, with a wide field, from the physical acquisition of data to their interpretation.
