Jean-François AUJOL

Biography

Jean-François Aujol got a PdD thesis in Applied Mathematics from Nice University in 2004. He was a postdoc at UCLA and then at Institut Paris Telecom until 2005. He got a position as researcher with CNRS. He did his research in ENS Cachan and then in Marseille University, until he was hired as a full professor at Bordeaux University. He was elected as a IUF (Institut Universitaire de France) member in 2013. His research focuses on variational methods and optimization in image processing. J-F Aujol is senior area editor for  IEEE TIP since 2018, associate editor for SIAM Journal on Imaging Sciences since 2018, associate editor for Journal of Mathematical Imaging and Vision  since 2014, associate editor for CVIU since 2014. He was an associate editor for IEEE TIP from 2014 to 2018.
