Peter SZOLGAY

Biography

Péter Szolgay (born in Budapest, Hungary in 1949) is full professor and prodean at the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics, Pázmány Péter Catholic University. He graduated from the Polytechnic University of Budapest, then obtained his PhD from the Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1988. He is Doctor of Sciences and member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences since 2000. Until 2019, he has been the Head of the Roska Tamás Doctoral School of Sciences and Technology of Pázmány Péter Catholic University. His scientific fields of expertise and interest are Circuit Theory and Design, Computer Architectures, Neural Networks, Cellular Neural Networks (CNN), Sensory arrays based computing, Kiloprocessor array computing and Image processing.
